A Tool for Freedom
I learned to fly in 2001, but my interest in aviation goes back much further. When I was about eight years old, a neighbor gave me my first book on aircraft identification. I was fascinated. That early curiosity eventually led me to flight training in a Cessna 152, ownership of a various models of Cessnas and Pipers, and today flying a Daher TBM.
Over the years I’ve come to see aviation for what it really is:
A tool.
An airplane is essentially a time machine. It compresses time and space and allows one to reach a much broader geographic region than would otherwise be possible.
